CREAM SILK TRANSFORMATIONS:

SPOT ON THE #MODERNFILIPINA

Cream Silk, the leading hair care brand in the Philippines, launched its latest campaign: "Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina." Renowned for empowering women to transcend conventional beauty standards, Cream Silk now celebrates the Modern Filipina, a dynamic force aspiring to achieve her utmost potential in the transformative journey of self-discovery.

The Cream Silk Transformations event unfolded as a full-day extravaganza at the World Trade Center Tent, in collaboration with top magazines like Cosmopolitan, Meg, MEGA, Metro, Preview, and Yes!. This dynamic partnership aimed to empower attendees with insights and tools essential for their personal transformations.

Reflecting on the evolving role of women in society, Gina Lorenzana, Unilever’s Vice President for Personal Care, remarked, "Gone are the days of the Maria Clara, as women are slowly climbing up the ranks and embracing bigger and better roles for themselves. Today, the modern Filipina has become both a spotlight and a beacon—a fearless and trailblazing individual determined to realize her dreams and make a positive mark in the world."

Aligned with the theme of the Modern Filipina, each magazine hosted workshops and talks featuring prominent industry experts in fashion, entertainment, and beauty. The activities ranged from beauty and fashion makeovers to unlocking one's inner potential. Through these sessions, attendees were not only inspired but also equipped to embark on their own journeys as Modern Filipinas.

The Cream Silk Lounge provided an immersive hair transformation experience, where experts assessed individual hair needs and recommended styles to accentuate personal assets. Guests then had the opportunity to witness their very own Cream Silk transformations through personalized styling.

As a spectacular finale, attendees were treated to the first-ever live cover shoot, unveiling the new lineup of Cream Silk Modern Filipinas. These women graced the covers of the March issues of top magazines: Heart Evangelista for MEGA, Nadine Lustre for Metro, Coleen Garcia for Preview, Julie Anne San Jose for Meg, Rachelle Ann Go for Yes!, and Yassi Pressman for Cosmopolitan. This symbolic representation showcased women who have embraced transformative journeys in their lives.

To add, to the already impressive lineup, Cream Silk also welcomed home Pia Wurtzbach, on her first Philippine appearance as Ms. Universe. Pia epitomizes the most inspiring transformation of the Modern Filipina yet, set to conquer the universe! With a beauty that inspires, and determined to realize her dreams, she has come back to make her positive mark in the world, taking her well-deserved walk at Cream Silk’s event.

Join Cream Silk and these Modern Filipinas in inspiring and empowering others to experience their own transformations. Share your own experience on social media by posting “One of my #CreamSilkTranformations in 2016 is to___________.” As for me, one of my #CreamSilkTranformations in 2016 is to become the best version of myself—a woman characterized by refinement and the qualities I had always aspired to embody.
