TWINNING WITH SKINNIEST JEAN
IN THE OVERALLS I MADE
Matching outfits has always been a timeless trend, and I recently ventured into designing my own. Initially, I planned to sell my creations in the marketplace, but after creating these fabulous overalls, I decided to keep them as personal samples before launching them to the market.
Months ago, I meticulously designed and sewed these stunning overalls. The joy I felt when I finally got to wear them at the Blogger Babes Asia Launch event was indescribable. What added to the excitement was that my blogger babe, Jean, also sported a pair of these overalls. Yes, we went all out with matching outfits, twinning in style!
I styled my leather overalls with the laced top I initially made for my Dressmaking class project. I detached the lace top from its initial pairing with a ball gown skirt allowing for versatile styling, effortlessly transitioning from a formal to a casual chic vibe.
I wrapped a checkered blazer around my waist to boost the black and white edge. The pièce de résistance? Rocking wedge sneakers snagged for just 50 pesos at a local thrift shop, proving that style doesn't need a hefty price tag.
Jean effortlessly curated her ensemble by pairing her leather overalls with a chic white high-neck crop top and complementing the look with a stylish pair of white sneakers. The combination exudes a casual yet edgy vibe, showcasing her flawless sense of fashion.
Jean and I not only matched in our outfits but also in our personalities. Our friendship sparks creativity and brings out the best in each other. Can you believe this is the first time I met her in person? It feels like we've bonded for years already. Our connection goes beyond the surface, and I believe there's a reason why we're meant to be together on this journey. I totally agree with what she said in her blogpost, "There’s an instant bond that attached us together and that’s our FAITH in Jesus Christ!"
Designing and wearing these overalls was not just a creative endeavor but a journey of self-discovery and friendship.
