FROM LITTLE BLACK DRESS TO SWIMSUIT

For those who attended my shop's Anniversary Fashion Show, you'll probably remember this swimsuit I wore in Boracay was worn as Little Black Dress by my friend-slash-HUEnique Ex-Brand Ambassador, Nic Magquilat.

MATERIALS USED

Little Black Dress, Stretchable Tulle, Scissors, Tailor's Chalk, Pins, Thread, Needle, Seam Ripper, Thread Cutter, Measuring Tape, Ruler

STEP 1: Since the dress you're reinventing is yours, no need to measure your body size. Trace your desired design for your swimsuit right away.

STEP 2: Fold the dress in half, make sure to pin it to keep it in position.

STEP 3: Cut the traced lines, and make sure to add an allowance. Remain some fabric for the crotch. Then, remove the excess fabric.

STEP 4: Pin the stretchable tulle to the parts of the dress you cut to add some style. Then, sew it together even the crotch.

STEP 5: Measure the length of your thigh to crotch for your hemline.

STEP 6: Get some excess fabric to make a hemline. Again, leave an allowance.

STEP 7: Fold the hemline and put in some pins. Sew the edges then reverse it to make it invisible.

STEP 8: Pin the bottom part of the hemline and the bottom part of the swimsuit together.

STEP 9: Flip it and sew it with the wrong-side-out.

As you noticed, I made a classic swimsuit for you, and prefer not to wear bikini bottoms. Remember, you can still be fab at the beach without showing too much. Show less and be the best!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
