Last May 12, 2016, Clean Reserve has finally launched at Blackbird Neilson Tower hosted by the celebrity and ex-PBB housemate 1st edition, Ms. Say Alonzo.


Greg Black, the President of Fusion Brands USA, the multi-national boutique luxury beauty firm that produces the line, shares the power of CLEAN. “CLEAN is a ‘non-perfumed’ perfume loved by those who don’t want an overpowering scent, and for those who don’t want to make a statement when they walk into a room. But they want to smell good for themselves and the people close by,” he explains.


The scent of CLEAN was initially inspired by a bar of soap, but has since evolved to evoke simple and very familiar memories. They remind you of warm cotton, clean linens, and fresh towels being pulled out from the dryer. These classic fragrances from the original House of CLEAN line have garnered their own cult following. But CLEAN has imagined new scents for the new generation. In its latest incarnation, the brand introduces CLEAN Reserve. 


For this new line, CLEAN Reserve introduces nine fragrances made from the perfumers’ reserve collections. In the same way that winemakers have their favorite, well-protected vinos, CLEAN has its own distinguished artisanal oils and blends made from higher quality ingredients. “These help to create potent blends that leave a more lasting impression,” explains Blank.


In addition to elevating the art of perfumery in its newest line, CLEAN renews its commitment to producing perfumes through more sustainable and responsible processes. Whether it’s ensuring to replenish natural resources, harvesting and planting more responsibly, or supporting the communities and farmers by protecting their livelihoods, CLEAN abides to its promise of being an eco-conscious brand.


In fact, its partner manufacturing facilities are all 100% solar powered, ensuring that CLEAN is able to lower its carbon footprint to protect the earth. In addition, all product packaging, from the box to the cellophane, is biodegradable and recyclable - even the alcohol used for the perfume base is corn derived.

9 WAYS TO STAY REFRESHED

1.     Amber Saffron is an irresistible fresh blend of delicate florals, soothing musks, warm amber, and exquisite saffron. The result is a beautiful contrast of fresh and spicy, an exciting yet comforting scent that leaves a lasting impression.

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENT: Mandarin Oil
Selecting Mandarin Oil cultivated in Brazil allows our perfumers to work with raw materials gathered by growers from all over the world. We actively support communities and their livelihoods with financial and environmental assistance, while they grant us access to their harvests.

2.     Warm Cotton [Reserve Blend] is a beautiful blend of floral cotton accords, elegant plush lily, amber and three dimensional musks.

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENT: Benzoin
The unique harvesting method of Benzoin necessitates partnerships with Southeast Asian farmers to ensure only eco-conscious extraction methods are used. We rely on their knowledge and skill in obtaining the sweet, vanilla-tinged resin without harming the tree as part of our ongoing commitment to protecting the crop through education and wide-reaching environmental conservation efforts.

3.     Blonde Rose is a true feminine and balanced floral that is subtle yet sophisticated and sexy. Watery freshness and zesty lime exhilarates and uplifts, while rose, soft jasmine and peony reveal a simple yet beautiful purity.

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENT: Sandalwood
We select the most exquisite Sandalwood from Sri Lanka, where locals with an ancestral understanding of the tree’s properties use ecologically sound harvesting practices to extract the precious oil inside. Closer to home, we tap boutique distillers to provide artisanal, small batch oils, allowing them to stay in business while we promote development, care and growth overseas.

4.     Rain [Reserve Blend] blends Amazonian rain with a sparkling freshness from bergamot, chilled cucumber and dewy water lily. Our perfumer was inspired by a world renewed and refreshed after lush rainfall.

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENT: Haitian Vetiver
We chose to infuse the Reserve Blend of Rain with responsibly sourced Haitian Vetiver, a warm, naturally occurring, fragrant root. Sourcing this unique oil responsibly ensures that we can continue to work with the people of Haiti for many years to come.

5.     Skin [Reserve Blend] captures a cozy bouquet of vanilla orchid and sun-kissed peony, creating the sensation of a comforting warmth, complemented by delicate notes of orange blossom and a touch of sweet honeysuckle.

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENT: Copaiba Oil
We work directly with communities in the Amazon and providing them with technical and financial support ensures the sustainable sourcing of Copaiba Oil, a deep sensual oil that forms the heart of the Reserve Blend of Skin.

6.     Smoked Vetiver is a sophisticated interpretation of the polarity between cold and warm that is inviting and sexy. The heart is filled with soft woods to create the feeling of being lost in a forest, accompanied by earthy and citrusy characters that ignite the senses.

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENTS: Myrrh and Vetiver
Myrrh and Vetiver have been harvested for centuries, and combining both allowed us to develop a provocative fragrance rooted in sustainability. Himbas women carefully extract the natural resin produced by Myrrh trees in Namibia, while Haitian farmers consider Vetiver an agricultural treasure, and harvest the plant with a focus on reducing soil erosion and increasing yield. Working with both countries cements our dedication to fair trade practices.

7.     Sueded Oud is a sophisticated interpretation of the tension between transparency and complexity. The fragrance is a balance of freshness and deep incense, surrounded by warmth and earthiness. It is a fresh and creamy approach to a traditional oud. 

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENT: Bushman’s Candle
The nomadic Himbas tribe waits until the hard, spiny Bushman Candle completes its natural life cycle before harvesting the bark to sell for fragrance extraction. Continued use of this incredible shrub provides support that allows the tribe to preserve their traditional lifestyle and fosters sustainable plant growth.

8.     Terra Woods captures the Scandinavian sensibility of inviting nature into the home, with bright and elegant florals that bring the fragrance to life.  Crisp and zesty notes paired with the creaminess and woody base create a beautiful and unique contrast.

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENT: Madagascar Vanilla
By choosing to harvest the highest quality Vanilla pods from fertile, ECOCERT plantations in Madagascar, we aren’t just ensuring our perfume is infused with the rich, deep, and warm aromas. We’re also funding continued education for farmers and their families by supplying school equipment and computers to foster growth and development.

  3. i think i need to check these scents. i dont wear perfume usually as it stinks (for me) because of the overpowering scents. Say is so gorgeous. i like her since PBB days, waaaa. she hosts events pala. :)

  5. I am really not into perfumes but I might consider checking out the Myrrh and Vetiver scents. it'q quite intriguing and has a GOT effect on the name so I might check this one out. The competition in the perfume industry is really getting high nowadays. I guess there is really a very big market for this.

  12. Glad that this brand comes in a safer and more convenient process which is a good news to all those who are looking for products that are eco-friendly. I bet that many would prefer such particularly that its smell isn't that strong compared to other perfumes sold in the market. I find the packaging simple too and clean too. I just find the price a bit high, though.
