GRANDEST CURTAIN CALL

"As theater artists, we believe that the theater arts can be a powerful development tool. Theater in its holistic perspective provides for a whole gamut of wonderful and exciting learning services. The theater arts experience is so fulfilling that the process becomes joyous of self-development." - Dr. Anita Navaro

I was given the privilege to organize an event for the mother of all Drama majors in Philippine Normal University, Dr. Anita Navarro, to celebrate her retirement and birthday at the same time.

I got the chills when Prof. Shirley Cerbo told me to help her gather all of the STA majors from the pioneer batch up to the present. It was exciting for me since organizing an event is one of the things I love doing. I got the chance to be the overall in charge.

With the help of these two wonderful friends and batchmates of mine, I was able to gather all of the batches from 2002 up to the present. Oshin helped me find the best venue, food catering services, and pastry chef for Dr. Navarro's cake. On the other hand, Jet helped me with the aesthetics. She made the souvenirs, invitations, and creative ideas for the event proper.

By the grace of God, we were able to come up with good results. We would like to thank the following for making the event happen:

"We, as educators, desire to offer skills development for better opportunities in the future of our children. We believe that our initiative and creative strategy would be of great help in the pursuit of development." -Dr. Anita Navarro

I am truly happy that this once in a lifetime event went successfully.  The stress in preparing this event was all worth it when I saw Dr. Navarro really enjoyed the party. Of course, this will not be possible without the help and cooperation of every batch, even those who are in abroad, they still managed to help. This event is a legacy!

P.S. Our dearest mother and professor needs your help right now. She needs two bags of Type A+ blood. You can go directly to Red Cross Intramuros and tell them that it's for a direct patient, Anita Navarro. If you are not a type A+, it's still okay because Red Cross is willing to trade your donated blood to the blood Dr. Navarro needed. Your help is very much appreciated.

Check my detailed outfit during the event. ♥
